PhD Project
I am currently doing a PhD project in experimental psychology. The main theme of the project is ‘Photography & Aesthetics’ and centers around the question: How do we look at, and aesthetically appreciate, (artistic) photography?

It is therefore the perfect symbiosis between my background in psychology research and my evergrowing interest in photography. The project started in October 2017 and, if all goes well, will be finished around October 2021.

The project is part of the GestaltReVision research group at the University of Leuven, a research group focused on visual perception and features both fundamental perceptual organization research, as well as applications in the domains of art and autism. I am supervised by professor Johan Wagemans.
